B.F.A. Graphic Design
Design is a strong form of communication, and it deeply influences our choices. As a designer, I have that power and take pride in creating functional and creative designs that are simple, efficient, and clear. Whether it is to communicate a brand identity, packaging, or online message. I want to be the bridge that links creativity and innovation through any project I create.
My brain is a world of infinite thoughts and ideas, finding inspiration from design all around me. Much of my work is detail orientated, consisting of geometric shapes and lines. My approach to design always begins with research. I start by looking for ideas on Pinterest, Behance, or creative blogs to solidify a concept of what I want to create. I may sketch a few designs on paper, but then I go straight into Illustrator. Moving forward, I play with the ideas I have and create multiple variations and keep building until I am satisfied with a concept.
I love the freedom graphic design holds, and in some of my newer works it is allowed more of a self-expression through my experiences and love for traveling. I always had a love for bright vivid colors, but through my recent travels to Venice, Italy and Guatemala I was deeply inspired by such diverse cultures. This is apparent in my mix media works that incorporate design and my new interest of photography to create a “double exposure” effect. The combination of the two styles into one single harmonious composition drives my creativity as a designer.
As I continue to grow as a designer, I want to always incorporate experiences and emotions within my design work. I also strive to push my creativity to make fluid designs that have a purpose and are timeless for any company or client.
